Very attractive French striking brass carriage clock circa 1900. Corniche brass case with bevelled glass panels and top window displaying its jewelled lever platform escapement. Circular ivory-coloured dial with Arabic numerals and minute ring set in a satin brass mask. Blued steel moon hands. Twin barrel, 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong. Supplied with double-ended brass key. Height is 13cm excluding handle (17cm with handle), width 9cm and depth 8cm. Excellent time-keeper.
Fully cleaned and serviced but retaining its antique gilt patina. The clock's movement is covered by our 12 month warranty in the UK.
