An attractive Early Victorian walnut ladies chair c1850. Finely moulded show wood over its spoon-shaped back joining shaped and carved arm supports. Carved cabriole legs to the chair’s front with serpentine shaped, moulded front rail. Deep button-back upholstery and generous, deep sprung seat. The chair has been recently re-upholstered in a floral damask fabric which is in excellent condition. Maximum height to top of back is 74 cm. Outside measurement front-to-back of footprint is 55 cm. Widest overall measurement front-to-back (on its centre-line) is 74 cm. Maximum width across arms is 60 cm. Height of seat is 35 cm and depth of seat is 49 cm.
