Small, elegant Edwardian inlaid satinwood display cabinet on stand c1905. Small enclosed cabinet with two inset bevelled glaze doors and central decorative brass closure strip below a shelf enclosed by shaped sides and back. Shaped back has inlaid box line border and marquetry detail of floral and foliage elements with central sand-shaded oval medallion. Tabletop with moulded edge and border detail of box lines and tulipwood crossbanding – repeated on the apron. Raised on slightly splayed, square tapered solid satinwood legs with decorative corner brackets. Cross-stretchers inlaid with box lines and tulipwood crossbanding and central circular tray. Working lock and key. Measures 120 cm maximum height. Tabletop is 51 cm in width and 38 cm in depth. Dimensions at base of legs is 52 cm width and 39 cm depth.
