Elegant Royal Doulton salt-glaze stoneware ewer c1925. Tube-lined off-white chrysanthemum flowers on an olive-green body. The vase measures 33 cm in height. Incised Royal Doulton mark used after 1922. Signed FJ (monogram for Florrie Jones, Senior Assistant who worked at Doulton from before 1902 to 1928). Pattern number 8248.

 

Florrie Jones is listed as working at Doulton as Senior Assistant in 1902 and worked at Royal Doulton until 1928. Her work was well regarded and she completed a number of original designs. For information on Royal Doulton visit our Maker's History pages.
