Victorian walnut revolving music chair c1870. Walnut spoon-back with moulded up-rights terminating in carved scroll detail. Carved crest-rail and cross-rail. Circular seat with show-wood edge. Traditionally re-upholstered seat with piped detail on original stuffing. Reupholstered in quality ‘moleskin’ herringbone fabric in a neutral colour. Supported on a tripod pedestal with carved foliate and scroll decoration. Carved central fluted urn pedestal. Retains its antique patina and finish. Threaded screw for height adjustment. Seat height (to top of seat cushion) can be adjusted from 49 cm to approximately 59 cm. Height to top of crest-rail is 87 cm at lowest position. Seat diameter is 41 cm.
